Even with the emergency fund I had to use some wedding money for vet bills when Rosie passed...so we're cutting out a "professional" wedding cake. Sounds like you are on your way. . . Also designate someone to be in charge to hand out checks and make sure that you had got what you had asked for in your contract. So you don't have to worry about anything on your day. Except for having fun. . .cupcakes are a nice idea. And you don't have to pay for a cutting fee !
