If the door even moves or bumps the wall he is cowering and shaking real bad and tries to go outside I'm not sure what to do, just ignore it or try to show him the door is fine? Any suggestions? |
Something similar happened with Lexi a couple months back. My son didn't see her running back into the house after a potty break, and he shut the door getting her paw caught under the door. After that happening, she was so scared of the door and wouldn't go within 10 feet of it. Each time I would see if she would go through, and if she didn't I would pick her up and carry her through the door. I didn't try to force her to go though and after a few days she went back to normal and is no longer scared of the door.
