Gracie was the first dog I ever had that refused to eat dog food. I got desperate and started searching for an answer. I home cooked for her until I found Stella & Chewy's. It was the first dog food she actually liked. I have tired other raw pet food brands but always come back to S&C.
We also use the frozen S&C's. She of course prefers the freeze dried to the frozen. I always make sure she is drinking extra water or else I rehydrate the freeze dried. It's really important that they get that extra hydration when eating a freeze dried diet.
Gracie does have occasional days where she seems to snub her food. I just take it away and try later or even let her go till the next day to eat. Make sure your guy isn't sneaking snacks from somewhere else. It won't hurt him to miss a meal. Maybe he has decided he doesn't like whichever meat you were feeding him? I know Gracie is not particularly fond of the lamb. |
