Mom and pop carry genes from many generations behind them. Grandpa or grandma or some of the other ancestors could have been larger Yorkies. Unless the parents are carefully line bred it is pretty much up in the air what size they will produce. When the parents have a larger gene pool there is more of a chance of producing a wider range of sizes in the litter. |
