 I feel your pain
So sorry you are going through this; they are our babies and we hate when they are not feeling well. I had my two puppies spayed on July 3rd and we are finally off house arrest as of yesterday. I had a vet come to the house (with a camper) and she used a laser to do the surgery. The good (and the bad) news is that the laser kills the nerve endings so the girls felt no pain after the surgery. As soon as she was finished she wrapped each girl in a towel I had warmed in the dryer and we brought them in the house. They were perfectly fine as soon as the anesthesia wore off. It was extremely hard, especially with two, to keep them as still as possible for 10 days. You would never know they had surgery and they are back to being the same mischievous girls they were before. I hope your baby heals soon also. BTW; I had major misgivings about doing it as I couldn't get past the thought of who am I to be making this decision for my girls. I went back and forth about it for several weeks and decided it is the best for their overall health. |
