I have never used Trifexis and my boys are larger. What time did you give the Trifexis? How is your little guy doing? I would try calling your local pet ER and ask them what they think.
For the next heartworm preventative dose, I would choose one of the alternatives for your smaller 2 dogs, and probably all 3. Many dogs do fine with Trifexis, but there have been a number of incidences here of side effects. I believe Sentinel has both the heartworm preventative and flea control if you want an all-in-one product. Sentinel is a popular choice.
