I believe Max would have been a perfectly behaved dog if we had not added Teddy. Perfect! They are both really good as a whole, but they egg each on with barking at the door and in the car. Both very strong males and competitive.
Other negatives: same as CouversMom wrote. Harder to travel. Double the vet bills, double the work.
But, I adore Teddy and he is well worth all of the 'trouble.'
