Cairo is not a huge fan of strangers and I always tell people that when they want to pet her. Most people understand. The people that don't, I just ignore and walk away from. I also take little treates with me on walks so if a senior or a quiet, calm child wants to pet her, they can hand feed her a treat instead and this always goes over really well for everyone.
