I have to admit, when I first brought her home I thought it was too soon after my Brandi passed away. It had bee six months since she passed and for the first week or two I think I was feeling guilty about getting another yorkie so soon. Almost like I was dishonoring her but Dutch would just wiggle her tail and I slowly came around and now I am totally in love. She worked her yorkie magic on me.
I had to realized I wasn't replacing Brandi. SHe could never be replaced. I still have her ashes and a lock of her hair and I sort of introduced Dutch to Brandi by letting her smell her hair.. |
I think getting another yorkie is a testament on how much you loved Brandi, let's face it having the experience of loving Brandi is what led you to want that again. so happy Dutch is filling some of the hole left in your heart.
Here are a few of Lola's tail shots, one you can see how long it can get, for the summer since she is so active I cut it down a bunch, it had gotten longer that her body. She loves to dock dive and by the look of how she is carrying her tail it's easy to see she is enjoying herself. I love the fact that her tail is two tone, the underneath is silver blond so it really makes the tail more noticeable
