  Sure it is natural process, and just as surely naturally things can and very often times go wrong.   Right now she doesn't even know how to recognize an emergency situation with labour, whelping, and rearing young puppies. So maybe she should be stressed enough to find out some basics.  Which is why she is here posting.  
And she should be if not 'stressed" actively engaged in preparing for this litter.  
I have known no that is No experienced breeders that are not on a heightened alert basis throughout their dam's pregnancy, labour, whelping and the rearing of puppies.  And they are experienced!  Not a first time and I can't even say Novice breeder, as Novice breeder in my mind means someone who has done the studying, assisted at whelps, and this is their first time whelping.  That is a Novice.   This is not a Novice.   It is a totally un-prepared person setting themself up for whelping and raising a litter of puppies.
