I quite agree - it's probably the anaesthetic....
Martin - If you DO decide to give her canned pumpkin - make sure it isn't the spiced 'pie-filling' variety....I found it virtually impossible to get plain canned pumpkin 'over here', and ended up buying a whole one and cooking it....good luck!
