So when a dog thrown to a shelter who hasn't lived nicely and they turn around in your care it's a testament that dog food not only was acceptable but it enabled them to live long healthy lives in spite of having a rough and sometime tragic start. Some are 8 or 9 or 10 when you take them and like your little beloved George went on to live to 15, 16, and 17. Yeah, I am offended when I read the comments about food on this forum. The part that bothers me most is that others are swayed by these comments and it could be a matter of life and death to a pup. Some pups need prescription foods and I find it to be highly offensive and downright wrong. To insinuate that a person feeding a prescription food is killing their pup with poison is awful. I have seen people post and actually apologize for the fact that they are feeding what a vet recommended. They see it is working, but feel they must apologize to this forum??? All this hoopla about ingredients from people who don't know squat. I have seen those foods with what some call horrible ingredients save many a pup in my home! Just so wrong to bash anyone's choice of dog food.
