You feed raw and swear it is the best. I get that.
You say you want to educate others. I don't get that. It seems to me that you only want to post things that will validate your choice to feed raw and you do that by saying other foods are inferior.
Yes, there were recalls and yes, dogs died. What we don't know is how many dogs have become ill and/or died from illnesses due to raw foods.
No one feeding method is superior. It is what works for each individual and their pets. I don't post articles about the things I feed to "educate" people by bashing raw. I would ask you to please refrain from bashing the foods I feel work for my pets. I cannot make you do that...I can only tell you that I find it offensive and unnecessary. |
Great post LadyJane. I have seen how your trust in sound veterinary and feeding advice has benefitted the many animals with the deck stacked against them. I always talk about how well my dogs are but truth be told, they've never seen a bad day in their lives (like many pets here on YT!). So when a dog thrown to a shelter who hasn't lived nicely and they turn around in your care it's a testament that dog food not only was acceptable but it enabled them to live long healthy lives in spite of having a rough and sometime tragic start. Some are 8 or 9 or 10 when you take them and like your little beloved George went on to live to 15, 16, and 17. I don't think of kibble as death nuggets when I think of the haven dogs - to the contrary I think of it as life pellets.
