Oh, I plan to have him extensively tested when he comes home by my vet...I would be doing that no matter what. I have read, though, that a lot of the more common defects usually do begin to appear within a year. I was actually just reading about a few earlier. Either way, I'm already in love, so it is what it is...he will be cared for no matter what. My nerves are just acting up, I think, at this point because he's getting closer to coming home.
