[Esme's Mommy]

I once left Esme in her crate for 4 hours. We were visiting my mom, and my mom and I went out, so I put her in her crate at my mom's house. I felt pretty awful the whole time. Now, at night, she has been in her crate for up to 8 hours. This is while she was sleeping though. As soon as she woke up and needed to go potty she would bang on the door and I would let her out. Now that Esme is a big girl, and sleeps in her own bed, we no longer use the crate unless we are riding in the car alone and I am driving. Usually car rides are only 10-15 minutes to my moms, vets, groomers.
