Default Johnny won't eat anymore

My yorkie Johnny, who's turning one on Friday, stopped eating his regular food two weeks ago, and is also reluctant to eat treats. He used to crave treats for training. Now, he sleeps in, and doesn't want to eat in the morning, even if I make him home cooked food. He will eat in the evening, but only home cooked, and is extremely active then. We had him checked for Giardia when the behavior first started and it was negative. I think it's the extreme heat, but wonder if I should have him checked out. I can't send him to daycare, which he goes to twice a week, if he won't eat breakfast, because he plays all day when he's there. He's currently 8 pounds, and hasn't lost any weight. Any advice? I don't want to have to make him food forever, because when we go on vacation, his sitter can't make it. My previous yorkie girl acted strangely around all weather changes, mostly not wanting to eat and vomiting.
