She will drink water on her own no problem and I am able to get her to eat 1/2 of can of high quality canned puppy food and mix a scoop of powder puppy milk a day ,blend it smooth and syringe feed her 3 times a day
..but if I put it in a bowl in front of her she would just turn up her nose . So I know she is eating enough. Otherwise vet says she is fine. this is like day 5 . My question to other breeders is this a common thing for a small yorkie 5 lb . I have been breeding 20 years and always had the opposite problem, the eating like there's no tomorrow!! Or am I spoiling her and let her go hungry for a day ..which is what I would do if she was NOT pregnant..but want to make sure puppies are nourished . Any one with similar situation would love to here what worked for you. |
