Use the treat to get pup into position a few times and treat in the down position. Do this only a few times, maybe two or three then treat with other hand only when pup is in position.

I use right hand palm facing, moving it down to horizontal for down hand signal, putting treat between second and third figure tips the first few times. Then start treating with other hand so dog follows signal hand and start randomly alternate between treat, pat or "good pup"

Trick is after "sit", "shake", "down" pup will know the training routine better then you and pick up tricks quick. Put pup in down and wave hand with treat between 2nd and 3rd over pup so when she follows she has to roll over, should take 2 or 3 tries to get that started, then random through all tricks to lock them in. Remember, Don't overdo it and stop on a winning note.
