Allergy testing will give you the answers you're looking for. I'm sure of it. I have a German Shepherd who had very, very bad allergies. She looked and smelled a lot like what you described. I was shocked at all she was allergic to. So, I learned how to give her allergy shots twice per month. Eventually down to once per month. She looks great now.
