Both of mine have had the same issue. It is common. I would saymajority are out by 1 yr and some change. I plan on getting teeth cleaned and they will remove excess at the time. Please make sure your vet is diligent and antibiotics are prescribed. My Mickey gets a lot of food stuck in teeth more so and I can imagine it would be easily infected if not treated properly.
