Does she throw up bile throughout the day, or just in the morning?
My ZoE is the pukiest dog I've ever known. Her vet recommended Pepcid too. I, however, was hesitant to medicate her daily. ZoE is primarily an early morning vomiter. I can keep on top of it, if I adhere to a structured daily feeding routine. She has to eat every evening around 11-11:30pm and then right at 6-6:30am. She also needs an afternoon snack and an evening meal around 5pm. If I stick to this, she doesn't vomit bile.
Now, my main issue is any day I'm later coming home from work, and she then doesn't get an afternoon snack and her evening meal is late. Zo is strange in that she wont eat if I'm not there. Weird! I will leave her snacks and kibble out, when if know I'm going to have a long work day, and she won't touch it while I'm gone. But as soon as I get home, she will start eating whatever I had left out for her to eat while I was gone. I don't understand why she'll let bile build up in her belly and then vomit, rather than eat food by herself.
If I have to resort to Pepcid in the future I will.
