Google/Yahoo/Bing do not control the words you see in the browser tab. The webmaster of the site does. Same for the blue highlighted words you see when you search for a term in any search engine.
Google occasionally adds the source name to the end of the meta title. For instance, if you searched for "Yorkies," and an article came up from wikipedia, Google might add Wikipedia to the end of the title.
The words under the title are mostly controlled by the webmaster too, but sometimes Google will pull sentences from the page.
