I have come to dislike July 4th and New Year's Eve. As I type, one of my slug neighbors is setting off fireworks. Maggie is hiding in the closet, I have to be up at 4:30am to get ready for work but I will spend most of the night getting up and checking on her. Fireworks aren't illegal per the law but the HOA has banned them. It doesn't matter, if they could see Maggie shaking in the closet they might contain themselves. I didn't think they would start again tonight so I didn't give her any Benadryl or Rescue Remedy in time to help her. Yes, I'm a hater.
