You have a couple safe options, imo. I would *not* fly him cargo. You could either use a puppy courier who would fly your kiddo in the cabin from home to you in TX -or- you could look into Pet Airways, which is a PET ONLY airline that flies ALL animals in cabin -- pretty cool:
