Have you ever read a food trial? This is how they generally go:
* Feed dogs a food for about 20 weeks
* Do general blood tests to make sure things are WNL
* The end
They really don't achieve much, tell us anything, or do much in the order of improving or changing a dog's nutritional state. I could eat pretty much anything for 20 weeks and you really wouldn't see any changes in my flippin' general bloodwork, lol.
This is why I really don't like it that people think some random dog food is a good food bc they do "food trials". To me, that's like saying "this is a good shampoo bc trials show it cleans your hair".
