I had a Cobra CB and was not using it as I had sold the car it was in. When I went to put it into another car it didn't work. I sent it to Cobra to see if they could fix it and what it would cost. A few weeks later a box came in the mail. They had sent me a brand new Cobra CB! What a great company!
You might want to call them up and explain the problem to them. They may make good on it whether it is in warranty or not. It is worth a try.
