If the vet is recommending cyclosporine then that's what I would use. I have a dog on it, and it runs about $25 a month. Dry eye can get worse without treatment and lead to ulcers and worse. I have another dog with very mild dry eye that doesn't need cyclosporine as her eyes produce enough tears so for her I use Genteal Ointment whenever I remember and that keeps her eyes moist.
