That is for sure. But for me it is more like hey the dog is or could be bouncing off windows or against the rear seats flying into things and hurting themselves. I think it was either Britster or Maximo that posted this great link to a wonderfull crash designed crate. The problem is the largest one was priced out at $1000 which is still too small for my dogs. And yes they will custom make a sized crate for you, and I can only guess how much that would cost

But someone posted about their dog having a lifejacket on, that is an interesting concept ( of course inside the crate), but that would provide additional padding. hummmmmm. All my pups have lifejackets, maybe I should put them on when we go out for a drive too.... Oftentimes we are driving to a lake, so then I already have the lifejackets on them
