Default It could happen to you. Car Accident

On Wednesday, literally 2 minutes from home ( I had picked up 2 of my dogs from the groomers), an idiot decided to make a right turn from the left hand lane right in front of my van. I slammed on the brakes, but I knew I would hit him, and yanked hard right on my steering wheel so that I did not Tbone him (this was at an intersection).

The point is we hit, collided. but my dogs were safe in their crates. Some shifting of a rear crate happened, but neither dog became a projectile missile with-in the car. They are well. No signs of distress in anyway.

I do urge all folks to think about car travel safety for you and your pets. Having a pet free in a car is just very dangerous for all concerned. There are many options, harnesses linked into seat belts for eg. But what-ever you choose, choose something that can help to keep both you and your dogs as safe as possible in a car accident.
