I'm sorry you wasted your time making the trip. As you wrote, the store should make it very clear in their listings and social media that they do not welcome pets. Really strange though. |
The small chain I frequent has had a lot of problems with marking. Dogs pee on pretty much everything, the shelving, the trashcan-ish food containers they sell, the treat barrels, etc. I even saw a small dog pee on his owners leg.
They had a really expensive big wooden birdcage and a dog peed on it. It was so big they didn't really have a choice but to put it on the floor. They had to heavily discount the cage.
The store is higher end and there's a petsmart right across the street, so you'd think they'd mostly attract more involved pet owners who would train their dogs and clean up after them, nope.
The stuff I buy from them is high up, so it can't be peed on (wet food, treats, and sometimes other odds and ends).

I'm not going to post the name on here, but I will PM anyone who wants to know. They don't sell stuff online and as I said the store is tiny and hard to find, so I doubt anyone who doesn't live nearby will go to it.

I'll PM you.
