My boys are 'kissers' and I wouldn't have it any other way. When I don't want them to lick (when I am grooming their faces, or they start licking things they shouldn't), I give them the command "no licky licky." They stop immediately.
Grabbing the tongue is rotten, potentially counterproductive, and dangerous.
