So, Mya has been taking the 5-10lb trifexis for a few years now - it's been working just fine. I had a conversation with the vet 6 months ago about how I wasn't comfortable giving her the higher dose even though she is 10.8lbs and they allowed me to maintain the smaller dose.

Well, I just tried to renew her prescription and the vet apparently changed her mind because she's refusing to give me the 5-10lb dose saying it won't work and she can't legally give her the wrong dose.

I'm scared to give Mya - a 10.8lb dog a drug with chemicals that can treat a 20lb dog. I don't want to rock the boat and I know there are scary things that can happen with these drugs.

Any opinions?
