 increased appetite after spay
Hey everyone. As some of you know from another previous thread, Lexi just got spayed last week (Thursday). She is 6 months old. Anyway, The last couple of days she has been eating more than she ever has. I free feed, but always put a set amount out. The kibble recommends between 1/4-3/4 for 6 lb adult weight. She is charted to be 5 lbs. based on her 12 week age, but I know that is not always accurate so I put out 3/4 cup. She always eats about 1/2 cup, but the past couple days she ate the whole 3/4 cup! Just wondering if anyone else noticed an increase in appetite after being spayed or could it be something else like a growth spurt. She is still a little under 4 lbs. and hasn't gained much this past month, so I really am hoping she hits a big growth spurt. Anyway, just wanted to see what others with more experience thought!
