I'm with you if you dont want to keep him then dont.
I have a lab too and yes they are cute as pups but they grow up and take up a lot more space
and if you house is anything like mine (2 dogs 2cats and 1 rabbit)your be the one that does all the caring,feeding, walking etc just like i do.
