Grieving for April ( my yorkie) Good morning Yorkie family,
My little April was 8 pounds. She had the most beautiful little face I just loved giving her kisses and scratches ( her favorite) I bonded with this little alpha doggie. Oh, she loved to bark, bark and bark. Type A personality just like mommie. We were in inseparable. Oh made sure to tell mommie it was time to go to bed. She loved her special toys and would have her favorite blanket ready for her. I didn't see the signs when her trachea was giving her problems. Let me tell you I can hear the signs in a dog (now). She was on alot of meds until 2 years - the trachea collapsed. We decided on having surgery, they placed 3 rings to keep the trachea open. WOW recovery was rough and I stayed up every night with to get her through. Every night - she was loyal to me and I was loyal to her. Well, the bottom part of the trachea collapsed ( she was her worst enemy) her mind was so healthy, she loved to bark and run after the Ducks and think she was alpha to other dogs. She was gasping for air we were at the vet every month trying oxygen, everything!! Darn it! Water works..... it's to painful. Because all of YOU! I'm surviving ( barley). I have her ashes and I'm some comfort. Keep the prayers coming....
Love,
April's mommie |
