Default Issues with peeing

Please allow me to comment. Dogs do so much better with positive reinforcement rather then putting their nose in it. I'm sure your Yorkie wants to please you and is probable embarrassed about what is happening to her.
I agree, maybe a bladder infection? If this is new, and it sounds like it is, the estrogen is probable to blame. Have you asked the vet? Sometimes estrogen can increase sizes of cysts that might be causing pressure on her bladder ?

If it does wind up being a behavior issue, and she is just upset about something, or stressed, you may consider retraining her with the positive reinforcement.

Some dogs, like mine, drinks a fair amount of water, and piddles often. Jazj learned to use her indoor dog toilet when I am not home, and this makes her more comfortable. She didn't want to piddle on the floor, but just was not able to hold it 6 hours.

Please let us know what happens. Fingers crossed it is not significant problem
