I've read to lightly massage their throat and hold their nostril closed or gently hold it or put fingers under their ribs to stop (I tried that last one), but we are thinking of taking her to the vet in the morning. Is that the right thing to do? It just isn't normal. It doesn't sound like tracheal collapse- it is just like her brother's reverse sneeze- just frequent. At one point she acted like she would throw up but didn't. |
Hello and welcome to YT

Yes, I've used the blowing in the nose and rubbing the throat in the past to help one of mine with a reverse sneeze attach. I think a vet visit is in order to see if more needs to be done to help since this seems like it goes on quite often. Bogey was put on an antihistamine and I give it to him as needed. I was just discussing this with my vet yesterday and he said it's just been a bad allergy season and they have been seeing a lot of dogs with allergies.
