Its perfectly normal, sometimes my female will do it. My male started it when he was young too but I put a stop to it asap. I would just stop him and not allow him near me or anyone when he was in that stage of mind. It didn't take long at all.


Although neutering is always best it is not guaranteed to stop the urge to hump. Its just something that they do and yes sometimes can be a way of trying to dominate. You can try to stop the behavior by correcting him and redirecting him by giving him a toy but than he will probably hump that too .
