Mix a few drops of vanilla extract with vodka in a spray bottle to create a non toxic room deodorizer. Use the same mixture on carpet stains for pet odors. Sounds like a waste of good vodka but what do I know

Fill a spray bottle with one part Listerine (original formula) and one part water to help remove bacteria and fungus. Fill a spray bottle with the mixture and after bathing your dog spray the solution on the coat (avoid the face), let it soak for 5 minutes and rinse.

This spray can also be used on any surface for fleas. This can also be used on fresh or old hotspots as long as they aren't infected. You can also add 1 drop of unscented baby oil to the mix and use it 2 to 4 times a day on hot sots.

MIx 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to 1 quart of warm water for an after bath rinse that helps ward off allergies and ringworm. Do not rinse the solution.

I'm not advocating any of these household fixes but they sound interesting.
Ha! I just reread the part about the waste of good vodka. I agree!!!! I've used white vinegar and baking soda to get rid of stains. My house smells like a pickle for a few minutes after but I can deal with it lol.
