As for the pound,,,,, the Dallas pound lowered their adoption fees last weekend. They adopted out over 100 animals and are still over crowded. The FtWorth pound is keeping most animals less than a week before PTD due to over crowding.

I understand your worry about the dog being put down, that's how I felt but when I spoke to the pug people they told me that often the smaller dogs get adopted quick but they would talk to the pound in case he was not adopted, I know often yorkie rescue groups take pups from the pound I assume that a chi group might as well, but I am sure you know more about your area than I would, but it just galls me that they keep letting happen over and over, it's like they expect you now to watch out for their pup
