See i cant even use a gate for our lil guy since he is a pure climber which he inherited from his father. I found out from the breeder that his father climbs a 6 foot fence to get out of her yard and my Mr. Scruffles is the same way. We had a play pen which was 2 feet tall and he climbed out of that. he even climbs in his crate its ridiculous he looks like a monkey. here is the link:
but we recently tried just keeping him in a room with the door closed and I think that is more effective since hes a good puppy because hes already potty trained and doesnt chew anything but my husband's shoe laces which im trying to break him out of. but even with him having a whole room when we come home we hear him crying which im not sure if hes just crying because he hears us or if he was crying all day along with doing his lil crazy separation anxiety return happy cry to see us with his jumping around and running in excitement which we are ignoring till he calms down to officially greet him.
