Ask your vet if she can go on the Purina NF as an alternative if she isn't enjoying the K/D.
If you want to home cook, it has to be formulated using a vet nutritionist. I use Dr. Remillard and have for over 5 years for help with my dogs and home cooking. Her website is www.petdiets.com. Her consult fee is $250 and she works w/ your vet by reviewing medical records and making a home made diet and recommendations specific to your dog. She does a great job and has a lot of experience w/ kidney disease. I would not home cook without guidance because you really need to make sure you are not giving too much protein or phosphorous and other factors.
