I brush teeth every day and comb out lady beards every day so how did I miss this???


Macy has been scratching at her mouth and dragging her mouth on the carpet for a couple of months. Her breath also could knock you out. I thought she had a bad tooth even though she just had a dental 4 months ago.


This morning I found out why I think she has been miserable. Where her hair meets her gum line was a ball of food about the size of a pea stuck in her fur. OMG this has been where the stench has been coming from!!! I groom her myself and thought I was cleaning that area well. I also thought I was combing that area good because the mustache comb never pulled. I think the comb was going right over the glob of food. I had to soak the area in warm water until I could break up the lump and finally used her face shampoo to wash the area. She hasn't scratched at her mouth yet. I feel so bad I missed this and she has been itchy.
