I have to go away in June, I haven't asked the Hotel yet, but I know they are going to say NO!! I am dreading the whole thing

I think that $150 sounds like it's more to put people off taking their dogs there at all, rather than a damage costs. They should just say no if they object to pets, then you could find another Hotel.
