I suggest you check carefully IN PERSON. Over a period of 10 years I purchased a Yorkie and a Maltese from Edgewood. The Yorkie was just gorgeous and had a wonderful temperament. The Maltese -- not so much, and she charged me a LOT of money. (she said the price of a "show quality" dog). The dog's tail is all screwed up like a little piglet, she has hypothyroid which resulted in such a bad ear infection I had to have the ear canal removed, both rear kneecaps luxate. She has IBD and was infested with worms when I brought her home. Cynthia Hill would not let me see the parents of the Maltese and I had to persist in order to get a look at the dog before I purchased. I didn't know enough to check the tail, thyroid, knees, etc. I trusted the breeder because the Yorkie was so special. Bad choice. |
