Okay. Besides the DNA test, the doctor can also take a look at the hair follicles to help figure out what's going on. I'm sure the doctor will have more answers, but the testing site that I provided a link to will do the test for $80, and I believe that they send you a DNA sample collection kit so you can take the sample yourself and mail it in. It's probably a cheek swab, very easy to do if you follow the instructions, and they will either mail or email you the results, and you can take those results to the doctor. I would recommend making an appointment with Dr. Marcos Vega so he can examine your dog in person, because her condition could be due to something else besides CDA. Keep us posted!
