Not really a toy, but Ruby's new thing is skinny Crayola markers...a couple weeks ago, my husband asked me for something to write with, but I was busy so just for fun (and being lazy) I put a marker in Ruby's mouth and then my husband called her to him and took the marker, which she tried to take back for the next couple of minutes...so now, whenever she sees one, regardless of color, she thinks it is hers to play with...
