I won't take Gracie to a dog park. Most people have medium to large sized dogs where I live and I just won't take the risk. Unless dogs are well trained and socialized before they get to the park there is just too much danger for a small dog.
Yorkies are small and sometimes bring out the chase or shake instinct that some larger dogs have, especially when they are running and wound up. I'm just not taking the chance of having someone with an out of control dog grabbing my little girl. She loves other dogs so I'm not worried about her being social. She gets lots of exercise during our walks so we can do without the park. |
