Finn sits like that, but he also sits "side-saddle" and he lays on his stomach with his legs out like a frog, too, so he might just be a weirdo.
My lab mix who lived to be fifteen and never had joint problems ALWAYS sat like that--right on his butt like a person with both legs outstretched. He had long legs so it could look awkward--we just thought he never learned to sit "like a big boy."
