Love the cart too, I had one when first married and just loved it. I know I promised a picture of my new floor and it's down. So happy with it but the picture does not really show the shine, so I'll start with my server.
The top is split and when you open both sides it is a very large and is treated so very hot dishes can be placed on it. I keep my linens in the top two drawers and dishes and glasses I don't use every day. The pic shows the top closed.
